Jozef’s Improved Dutch Names
I can understand that the (at this point) eleven provinces of the Netherlands can’t all get their own state, but giving the superprovinces the names of individual ones is a bit ridiculous. Most of all ‘Gelre’, which spans a wonky representation of Gelderland (because of the itty-bitty Zuiderzee), Brabant and Limburg. Besides it just being weird that these three provinces all receive the name of one, the name ‘Gelre’ especially is ridiculous, as the province was already called ‘Gelderland’ at this point.
This goes for the other two states as well. In this mod, the states are simply named ‘Western Netherlands’, ‘North-Eastern Netherlands’ and ‘South-Eastern Netherlands’.
