A real game of strategy
The original AI always tries to play the role as best as possible, for example, countries with poor laws tend to remain poor, almost all countries don’t tend to expand their territory except in special circumstances, and the purpose of small German states is to form the German Federation with Prussia…
This Mod removes the role play strategy, any nation will move in the most advanced direction, always see other nations as a permanent danger, and have strong ambitions to conquer all other parts of the world.
In order to contain the threat, even if a country is not notorious, as long as its GDP or population is too high, other countries will have a strong desire to conquer it, which is of course reasonable. If a country controls more than half of the world’s population and GDP, then other countries will be bound to be annexed, which is a rational decision to contain the threat.
Of course, given the size gap, the technology gap, the legal gap, the resource gap… So this Mod has a strategy tailored to each level of the country, and the AI strategy will change as soon as the situation of the AI country evolves to be more suitable for the other strategy.
In fact, the main performance burden comes from too many pops and too many cultures to distinguish between pops. Compared with this, the number of countries is insignificant, and at least dozens of countries will disappear in the first 10 years due to the strong desire for AI expansion. Therefore, the decision of AI strategy should not cost too much performance.
Of course, due to the aggressiveness of the AI, it is hard for any country to stay out of the game, and some countries are doomed to be annexed in 1836, so it is not recommended to play countries like Switzerland after using this Mod, unless you think you are lucky enough, or you use another cheat Mod.
