This is an LPD that integrates fire support and landing operations. The ship has the firepower of general frigates, but its tonnage (15000 tons) is too small compared with other LPDs, so it can only carry a small number of Marines, including two LCACs, and six armored vehicles can be carried on the vehicle deck. The high cost has always caused this scheme to be in an extremely embarrassing position.
