Saratoga, as Lexington class II ship, was built in 1929. The Navy had to redesign Saratoga’s drawings. In order to better armor protection, the torpedo launcher in the middle section was removed and replaced with larger caliber artillery and more advanced fire control system
The name of the ship came from the battle of Saratoga, and the United national army defeated the Royal Army of the United Empire
