Description:

This is a submod that balances the Jade Vampire faction made by Poljanan for Radious. Garrisons are tweaked to be more akin to radious ones, units are buffed, lords and heroes are buffed, you get the idea. The original mod is amazing, and so you should give much praise to the author for that. I made a submod, my job is arguably easier. Of course you need the original mod for this to work, also it should be below this in load order to ensure all changes apply properly. I added a single radious unit to the new faction, that being skeleton archers, since no other unit would really fit thematically. And those archers are capped so you’re not going to be able to spam them.

If there’s any issues let me know, namely in regards to balance as any problem that exists for the original mod, will exist for this submod more often than not. But balance for radious is the main focus of this submod, so anything wrong there should be addressed. Also the original mod is marked as a beta at the time I’m writing this, I do expect more changes and potentially addition in the future, and will get around to those when I notice them.

Here’s the T4 submod for this. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2888050869

Important Info on Load Order and Potential Issues

This is a submod for a faction mod, the faction is a unique race and thus requires Mixer to work. So the load order should be Mixer at the top, then this, then the original mod, then Radious (if you’re using the T4 submod for Jade Vamps then that goes above this submod and the T4 submod for Radious goes above Radious). When using Mixer it’s recommended to use the Compatibility Patch found here https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2872223080

That patch will fix a lot of the conflict issues that would cause some of the worst bugs for using Mixer and Radious together. However a lot of changes from Radious are still overwritten by Mixer, these being any changes Radious does to starting armies, buildings, regions, and diplomacy. Some of these can be mitigated with other submods, some do not have submods for them quite yet. The point is that Mixer and Radious do work when both used, just that if you want the starting situation to be what Radious sets then you can’t use Mixer, but if you use Mixer, you can use the various faction mods. Unit balance and other such things from Radious still apply, so you can still have all the Radious units, and the Radious balance for them, you just won’t have certain things at the start that Radious changes. You can try both and decide what you prefer, but this is a use with caution thing until a more extensive update is made to smooth over conflicts between the mods.
