Description:

Ave Citizens of Rome

This mod is designed to make both Eastern and Western Roman Empires stronger through their starting positions. I created this mod as both Eastern and Western Roman Empires had a tendency to disintegrate early on in the game, thus this mod improves Roman starting positions and changes other details through the following:

– Both Roman empires have tier 1 resources constructed.

– Both Roman empires have various agricultural buildings constructed to prevent public order issues later in the game.

– Both Roman empires have entertainment buildings in provinces with low public order as to prevent rebellion early on.

– Both Roman empires begin with starting armies consisting of: 2 Cohors, 2 Limitanei, 2 Levis Amaturae/Saggitarii, 1 Scout Cavalry and 1 Onager. These armies begin with no casualties.

– Military Alliance between Suebi and Alamani has been removed.

– Removed starting non-aggression pact between the Western Roman Empire & the Iazyges

– Removed the ‘Constant Immigration’ effect of the Western Roman Empire’s faction trait – to prevent public order issues developing.

– Sassanid military allies have been removed but the Sassanid empire retains its vassals

– Eastern Roman Empire starts with non-aggression pact and trade with the Garamantes

– Eastern Roman Empire begins with Ghassanids as their vassal, so there’ll be no early Sassanid/Lakhmid encroachments on Rome’s Arabian borders early on in the game.

– Legacy technologies no longer disable after researching religious technologies.

I’m aware this mods 1.0 version was a big hit with thousands of players but this 2.0 version is so much better. Please leave a vote and a comment to let me know what you think.

And just to let you know, my flagship mod: Dark Ages AD527 – The Age of Justinian has its 4.0 version coming out soon. If you want to play the 3.0 you can find it in my workshop.

Thanks for playing, hope you have fun.

Sincerely – Euro Centric Military Historian
