Magpie’s Hijab "Hairs"
Headscarves for hijabi heroes! Six new "hair" styles cover the head with a modest and fashionable draped scarf. The colors draw on your hero’s primary and secondary tints, matching the hijab to the rest of the outfit. Simple or fancy, loosely draped or tucked tight at the throat, fluttering in the wind or wrapping the neck, they give some variety in hair-showing practices to your Yondering worlds. They also look pretty good as "generic medieval fantasy" head coverings!
The scarves have a chance to show up on female background NPCs. (They’re drawn to fit the male body’s skull shape just fine, so your trans ladies can choose them during character creation, but they’ll only random-generate on the female body.) They will not change color as your hero ages, EXCEPT for the one with the "braided" detail — that one uses your "hair" color for the inner lining, just to add a bit more contrast, so it’ll desaturate and turn white over time.
Note that these designs are a LOT shorter than traditional hijab — most of them only brush the shoulders rather than draping around the shoulders and upper back — because I couldn’t figure out a way to make them not look awkward with the different bodies otherwise. I’ve used a couple of different methods so you can choose the most suitable for each hero. Hopefully, even though it’s not perfectly realistic in the length of the draping, this will help add some diversity to your Wildermyth world!
