Description:

BR Class 701 Arterio EMU produced by Bombardier and based on the Aventra platform. The type is expected to enter service in late 2021 with the South Western Railway in 5 and 10 car formations (Class 701/5 and 701/0). Top speed is 160 kph (100 mph), the vehicle uses 750 V DC supplied via third-rail.
