Harold
Harold, the hero who comes free with a copy of RPGMaker MV, now comes to Rivals of Aether.
EXP SYSTEM
Harold, being the standard JRPG protagonist that RPGMaker is known for, shares the program’s EXP system that comes built in.
Hitting opponents gains Harold EXP, which upon reaching a maximum, allows Harold to Level Up. The level is merely cosmetic at first, but using DSPECIAL reveals that he gains SP to spend on new skills.
ATTACK DATABASE
Pressing DSPECIAL will allow Harold to choose a skill to map to NSPECIAL, FSPECIAL, or USPECIAL. Harold can also choose the weapon he uses for his strongs.
A random skill pool is determined every time Harold opens up the menu.
STRONGS
You can choose other weapons to use as strong attacks. Other than the sword, you can have:
-An Axe
-A Staff
-A Bow (once you get to Lv. 4)
-A Zweihander (A Two-Handed Sword) (once you get to Lv. 5)
NSPECIAL: Slash (Defualt)
Harold shoots a short ranged slice projectile from his sword. Its small cooldown allows for it to chain EXP at a distance.
Alternate versions of NSPECIAL have Harold shoot an exploding fireball or an ice shard.
FSPECIAL: Blade Dash (Defualt)
Harold dashes forward and lunges with his sword. Charging it makes him go even further.
Alternate versions of FSPECIAL include a shield bash and a dashing claw attack.
USPECIAL: Hero Spin (Defualt)
Harold spins his sword around him in a flurry of slashes. On the ground, this move delivers a strong blow and chan be charged. In the air, this move hits opponents multiple times and gives a vertical boost.
Alternate versions of USPECIAL include a jump from a tornado and the power of flight.
DSPECIAL: Attack Database
Access a menu to spend SP gained fromm levelling up on new skills.
Controls:
Attack: Confirm
Strong/Shield/Special : Cancel
Hint: You can also select a skill immediately by holding the stick on your controller in certain directions.

DISCLAIMER
I might revisit this character every once in a while and add more skills, of course to my discretion.
