CK3 Genetics
In CK3, the genetics system has much higher chances of inheritance – marrying for congenital traits is a much better choice. In unmodded CK2, the chances of a genius heir, even with two genius parents, is only 28%.
This mod changes that, raising the chance of inheriting congenital traits and implementing CK3’s feature that if both parents have the trait, the child also always will.
As of right now I haven’t been able to get the sliding scale of genetic traits (bright – quick – genius, comely – pretty – beautiful, etc.) and I’m really not sure that this can be implemented as character generation on birth seems to be hard-coded. I think it could be done by event, but I’m not sure exactly how, so if you have modding experience and have any advice please let me know in the comments.
Let me know if there are any other features from CK3 you wish were in CK2, and I’ll see what I can do.
