Description:

The aim was to set the nordic factions in the correct time period of the game (Migration era / Vendel age). It’s not 100% historical but far more then the original I would say.

Although there are some evidence of raids in this era too, i choose to portray the "viking era units" as real vikings would have looked. Due to the fact that thoose we see as "real vikings" didnt appeared on the horizon before 793ad I would suggest using them in endgame if you want it to be historical correct. 🙂

What this mod does?

This is a total reskin of the 4 nordic factions (geats, jutes, danes and saxons).
Every unit in the unitrooster has a new skin.
Low tier units have clothes,
Mid and high tiers units have armor.

New Captains and Standard bearer skins.

New skins to the faction leaders, both at the factionscreen and ingame models.

New ingame models for generals which changes appearance due to their rank. The higher the rank, the nicer armor.

Even though this game is set 400 years before the viking age, CA had to have some viking units in the game. All the viking units now have proper "Viking era appearance" (see last photo for a preview of the "viking raiders" unit).

The pictures are a preview of some of the units.

(I know I didn’t got the axe for the saxon faction leader and the helmet for the geats leader to fully sync in the factions screen, but both works well ingame)
