Maverick
Maverick – The Whirlwind Warrior has joined RoA! Use Maverick’s powerful attacks to keep your opponents at bay and control the battlefield with his Whirlwinds.
Maverick’s power is the use of whirlwinds. Once in a whirlwind, the enemy is caught for a moment before being thrown out. This acts as a combo tool and stage control for Maverick, and also allows him defensive and recovery options when putting himself through a whirlwind!
NSpecial – Cargo Throw:
Cargo Throw is a dangerous close range grab that allows Maverick to carry an enemy caught for a while, before choosing to throw them outwards, upwards or even downwards! Throwing enemies into whirlwinds can rack up intense damage!
FSpecial – Turbine Punch:
Turbine Punch can be charged, giving you a massive attack that fires a gust of wind at the enemy. When hit, enemies will be marked, this mark will cause whirlwinds to be more powerful!
USpecial – Gorillanado:
Gorillanado is a large horizontal recovery tool, very similar to that of Donkey Kong in Super Smash Bros. With its massive range and multihit properties it can instantly threaten your opponent. Be wary, as it is predictable once it starts!
DSpecial – Whirlwind:
Whirlwind is the main source of Maverick’s power. You can deploy a whirlwind that stay on the battlefield for a period of time. On tap this move will deploy a whirlwind that points upwards, sending all fighters in that direction. By holding the special button you can change its firing angle, allowing you to create all kinds of versatile applications! Also keep in mind enemies can throw you into whirlwinds, or even destroy them by hitting them.
