Description:

Budd Metroliner

The Budd Metroliner, built between 1967 and 1970, was a high speed EMU operated on the Northeast Corridor by the Pennsylvania Railroad and later Amtrak. Plagued with reliability issues, they operated until 1988 before being withdrawn from service. Although most Metroliners were scrapped, several were converted into cab control cars and can still be seen in service today.

To start the train up, enable the main relay switches on each car. They can be found outside underneath each car’s right hand side. Get in the driver’s seat and flip the "Designate head end" switch. This tells the consist where the front of the train is, and where the train is being controlled from. Finally, flip the pantograph switch to give the motors power.

Make sure only one head end switch is on at once. Also, the brakes should be released in every car except for the head end.

I recommend using my Catenary Environment addon for the best experience

Top speed: 130 mph Capacity: 48 Propulsion: x2 infinite generators per married pair

Due to the many physics bodies, I recommend slowing down when going through sharp corners

This train is Stormlink compatible
