Pomme
Pomme is a technical aerial fighter who brings the float ability to Rivals of Aether. A famous popstar from Clairen’s future, she is a stylish diva armed with sass and a temper. Able to sing at a frequency few can match, this popstar’s song can manipulate soundwaves to hover into the air and attack.
Like Peach from the Super Smash Bros. series, Pomme is able float in the air for a short period of time. Holding the jump button will allow her to float at the apex of her jump. To float instantly anywhere, hold down and jump simultaneously. While within her song field created by Down Special, she can also freely float in any direction.
Pomme offers devastating combo options and exceptional mobility while being lightweight and floaty.
Special Moves:
Neutral Special "Hit Single" – Pomme briefly sings to create a single music note. An additional press of the special button will have her toss the music note forward as a bouncy projectile. If the projectile enters Pomme’s song field, its horizontal speed will be multiplied times two.
Forward Special "Bodyguard" – Pomme summons her bodyguard in front of her, who immediately performs a command grab. The opponent grabbed is tossed upward, allowing for a followup attack.
Up Special "High Note" – Pomme sings at her highest note, enabling her to levitate upward through the air while dealing multiple hits. Entering Pomme’s song field with this move (or pratfall) will allow her to escape pratfall and restore float.
Down Special "Singer-Songwriter" – Pomme sings to create a song field on the stage which will remain for a limited time. Upon entering the song, Pomme can float freely in multiple directions. This can be used for recovery, edge guard, and devastating ladder combos.
