If you are into big time cheats and want to be master of the universe with less effort, then this mod is for you.
This is a mod that adds NEW Prototype Technology (copy of vanilla equipment) to the game.
***The default equipment still exists, unchanged.***
* Range and damage increased, less power:
— Adds Prototype Point Defense.
— Adds Prototype Small Blaster.
* Bigger, stronger shields, less power:
— Adds Prototype Small Shield.
— Adds Large Star Corona Shield.
* High capacity Power Storage with triple retrieval:
— Adds Prototype Power Storage
* Super long range visual sensors, little more long range detection, less power:
— Adds Prototype Sensors.
* More thrust, less power:
— Adds Engine room.
— Adds Prototype Huge Thrusters.
— Adds Hyperdrive at 90% effecient and larger ship coverage 2x Hyperium storage.
* Massive push/pull power at extreme range, less power:
— Adds Asteroid Tractor Beam. (Massive increase)
* Crew quarters with triple bunk beds and all doors.
— Adds medium quarters increasing crew capacity to 12.
— Crew moving walkway faster in all directions.
* Armor with:
— Triple health.
— Double density.
— Double penetration resistance.
— Triple absorbing resource drains.
— Explosive damage resistance from 50% to 75%.
With the following armor styles available:
— Prototype armor 1×1
— Prototype armor Wedge
— Prototype armor 2×1
— Prototype armor 1×2 Wedge
— Prototype armor Cap
The hue color has been changed on most of these versions of the equipment so they are easy to distinguish from the default game equipment.
I made this to learn about making my own copy of existing equipment without modifying that same default game equipment.
You can select the added Prototype equipment separately. It is a cheat mod so build costs will be the same as the original copied equipment.
