Hello everyone,

first of all big thanks to the guys of "Da Modding Den", especially Vandy, who helped me a lot in creating scripts for the ressource!


What is in it?

This mod brings many changes that affect the way the Woodelves are played, such as:

  • Horde functions for Orion
  • A new resource called "Symbiosis"
  • New unit upgrades for Elves
  • Cooking mechanik called "Ariel Investigations"
  • Many Rituals to play with the Symbiosis
  • and much more…(Pictures!)

The main focus is on the new resource "Symbiosis"

This reflects how strong the bond between Athel Loren and the woodelves is.
This can have some advantages or disadvantages.
Have a look at the overview in the pictures for further impressions.

Matching the Woodelf Lore and the new DLC, the mechanics should encourage people to tear down settlements rather than really expanding. In my opinion this corresponds more to the character of the Wild Hunt.


SFO or Vanilla?

This mod requires nothing else than the main game and the (old) Woodelf DLC. It is compatible with all other mods. You will also get additional content depending on which other mods you play with for the Woodelves.

I would recommend to play with SFO (when it´s updated), because I created the mod mainly in connection with this content. But it also works very well on Vanilla, which was important to me especially because of the upcoming DLC.

– At the moment Armoury of Torgovann, Seeking Perfections and other mods with resources overwrite Symbiosis in the UI. – SOLVED!

Added value in combination with other mods

"SFO Grimhammer" (before update)
The edicts at the highest level contribute to the symbiosis.
Furthermore the resource "Waystones" is not overwritten by my resource. There will be a ritual through the Glamourweaving function, in which Waystones can be acquired in exchange for symbiosis, when SFO is updated.

"Woodelves Enhanced" by SorcererSupreme, "World Root System" and
New Version of World Root System
Here too, the edicts at the highest level contribute to the symbiosis.

With all these effects it can quickly become confusing. Grab this mod to prevent all problems.

"Campaign Forestry" by Mazisky
Nice to have. Sometimes it’s hard to see where there is forest on the map… this mod makes it much more visible and the campaign even more beautiful… (now also for the Potatoes).


Most bugs are actually only graphical…
For example, the UI does not show the resource 100% detailed, because the game does have some difficulties with two modded resources (Waystones – SFO). Therefore you won’t see Symbiosis as a resource in the crafting menu.

There is a compatibility problem with "Colosseum: new mechanic for dark elves" and "Altdorf Zoo", because they use the same mechanics. For now, you should activate the appropriate mod depending on the faction you want to play.
