Description:

This mode allows Psionic class (include Templars and Psi Operatives) to also receive MEC Troopers retrofits. Mental and physical are ones.

You may have been disappointed with one thing when running MEC Trooper at Enemy WIthin: Psionic soldiers must not be MEC trooper because of ‘Mind Hates Matter’. But let’s change the idea – if a healthy Matter has a healthy Mind, why can not a much healthier cyborg body have such a powerful Mind?

This mod is re-born as a powerful MEC Trooper at the sacrifice of your psi mod class.

Q&A

Q: How is it different from your existing mod?
A: They are not restricted by their Primary & Secondary weapons to use their Psionic Skills.Of course, I know this will break the balance as the MEC Troopers have access to a variety of primary weapons. However, in this older game, the balance adjustments could be addressed with additional mods.

Acquisition

SAME AS MEC- but use your psionic class.

1. Mechanized Warfare or Lost Towers must be completed first,
2. Research MEC Augmentation in the proving ground.
3. Build the MEC Foundry upgrade in the Proving Ground.

and Let your psi class undergo MEC Trooper augmentation surgery. You will then see options that have not been undone for other classes. – Focus OS systemp

Specializations- Focus OS system

Gain Focus during missions through the Psi-Focus Protocol, can be spent on powerful Psionic abilities.

Unlike the templars, Psionic MEC Troopers do not gain Focus by removing enemies from close combat. Instead, they acquire focus by overloading themselves with a unique skill:’psi-focus protocol.’ Through the obtained focus, they activate the Momentum Protocol, which allows additional Momentum and multiple parries through it. This advantage is further enhanced with a continuous Rand via overdrive – the psi mec Trooper can stand firmly even in the intensified saturation that XCOM soldiers or other MECs will never overcome.

Psionic MEC Troopers will learn most psionic skills randomly, except for tanker of Melee Attack skills. Therefore, there is no fixed skill tree for them. However, most of their psi skills will not deny that they have a high synergy with their powerful mec body. I started a few examples through video.

Psionic MEC Troopers use the same armour primary weapon and bit. However, most of them use their skills based on their focus, which has nothing to do with the weapon they have.Additionally, they can equip the Templar’s Shard Gauntlets. In this case, they will be able to make active ranged psionic attacks with their Soul Fire ability.If you install the spark arsenal mod that makes bits non-essential on Sparks, can equip them with Psi amps as their sidearms to maximize their psionic potential.

+@ Please refrain from changing their secondary weapon to a Psiamp if you haven’t installed the SparkArsenal mod. You will probably get an unexpected error.

The following Mod classes can be psi mec.(I tried to find as many WoTC psi classes as possible. Nevertheless, if there are any issues I am missing – I will add them as soon as they are verified.)

Mana for basically providing the critical assets that let this mod exist at all.

Spart117MC for offering to make a base augment set of cosmetics that I’ll be using for this mod as soon as the highlander updates with the support I need for that. (Weirdly enough completely demolishing a unit’s internals to rebuild it for the MEC trooper to work at all didn’t need highlander support in of itself: I just needed it to help smooth out other stuff)

and RealityMachina completed all the basic systems of mec. I pay homage to his creativity and efforts. If he did not release these mods – I could not do anything.

Known issues:

1. The class cannot be used in Skirmisher+ mode. because there is an instantaneous and unexplained crash. (In fact, I hesitated to upload the class for almost several months because of this problem, but this error does not occur in a normal game environment.)
