Description:

After the Cuban Revolution and in a communist victory, the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Foreces was established in 1959. Since it’s establishment, it became a threat to the United States government to have an armed forces led by a communist leadership at a radius of 330 milesto their homeland.

President Eisenhower and his Generals most notably Richard M. Bessell Jr., had planned the invasion that would overthrow the Cuban communist threat.
This plan was somehow continued throughout the Kennedy presidency and President Kennedy launched the Bay of Pigs Invasion that was planned by the Eisenhower administration to overthrow the Cuban Revolutionary Government.

In April 17, 1961, the Bay of Pigs invasion was launched. It was a failed landing on the Southwest coast of Cuba which compoased of Cuban Exiles known as the "Brigade 2506" that sought to bring an American backed democracy to the island.

Unfortunately, this invasion failed.

After the U-2 spy plane incident of October 14, 1962, the United States Government launched a full scale invasion on the Cuban island on November 16, 1962. The Third World War had begun.

The Cuba Armed Forces are armed with Soviet equipment mixed with surplus US equipment and vehicles dating back from the Second World War. But their air defence is much more effectient due to the Soviet troops stationed in the island having the Cuban Armed Forces trained them with their latest SAMS.
