Description:
1:1 Replica Su-22

Known as the "Fitter", the Su-22 is a variant of the Sukhoi Su-17, sweep wing aircraft. With it’s first flight being in 1966, it was introduced to service in 1970. Some well known users of this aircraft have been the Soviet Union, Syria, Poland, and Peru. The Iraqi have also used this aircraft, hence my livery.

Statistics
  • 340 km/h top speed
  • 3000 liters of fuel
  • One jet engine, with a fan

Armament
  • Two light autocannons, with 400 rounds of HE ammo each
  • Four rocket pods, with 16 rockets each
  • One center mounted bomb, with one medium warhead

Startup

To start the Su-22, flick on the battery, once you’ve grabbed the parachute behind the seat. Next, turn on the strobe light. After this, turn the throttle to 2. Turn on the "Fuel Pump" button, and hold the compressor until the engine starts.

Taxi

To taxi, increase throttle to 9, and release the brake once the RPS is greater than 3. Turn on your navigation lights, then use the left and right arrow keys to steer.

Takeoff

To takeoff, first, turn on your landing light. Next, increase throttle to 20, once lined up with the runway. If you hold 1, which increases throttle, your afterburner will turn on. Hold S to pitch up. After you’ve taken off, press the "LDG" button, to raise landing gear.

Landing

To land, first, turn on the landing light, then reduce throttle to 14, and lower landing gear. Once you are directly over the runway, reduce your throttle to 0, and set the aircraft down on the runway.

Weapons Operation

As listed earlier, you have a bomb, four rocket pods, and two cannons. Once you are ready to use your weapons, press 3, and you will see an indicator light turn on. This signifies you have armed your weapons. Press LMB to fire the cannons, 4 to fire rockets, and 5 to release the bomb. Once everything has been expended, press the "Jettison Pylons" button, located in the left of the cockpit.
It should be noted, that by default, the trim is set to -0.05. Once you have jettisoned your spent weapons, hold ALT, and press W to increase trim to 0.04.

Final Notes

You have a radio on your right, press the up and down arrow keys to change channel, this is displayed with the seven-segment display. Hold the push button labeled "PTT" to speak. This aircraft is a replica, so do not expect high maneuverability, as it is meant to replicate the real aircraft. Mounted on the left panel of the cockpit, are roll and pitch stabilizers.

Enjoy!
