Ohoho, hello! It’s a me, Mario, and I’ma thank you for choosing: Mario Head for Rivals of Aether! I can tell you’re going to be a great fighter! Hehehehe!
Quick tutorial rundown:
NSPECIAL: Bring out a typewriter, and type with Special. Each letter uses up an ink ribbon, and you can’t type if you don’t have any ribbons. If you successfully type out all 5 letters, you’ll go into SUPERTYPE mode, giving Mario a brief speed and dexterity boost that lasts around 10 seconds. You can cancel out of this move at any time using Jump or Dodge.
FSPECIAL: Mario’s Expert Express! This is a charge move, giving you one ink ribbon if you successfully hit someone, and three if you hit after charging it all the way.
DSPECIAL: Who’s that behind you? Mario’s counter move. Gives you two ink ribbons if successfully landed.
USPECIAL: I’ma going to fly for you! Recovery move, has no hitboxes if you have less than 2 ink ribbons, five if you have 2 or more. Watch out; recovering back onto the stage may mean you have to sacrifice 2 ink ribbons!
The typewriter and ink ribbons reset on KO.
