This is an enhance mod for pantheon beliefs in standard game set under the Gathering storm.
This mod aims to make the pantheon beliefs compensate of the random uncertainties in the starting game and improve the playing experience. So we can suffer less restarts of ‘From the early life beneath the waters…’, LOL.
There will be more new beliefs and alternations in further updates.

This mod adopts and tweaks contents from other Religious mods:
ALL beliefs are adopted and tweaked:
- Heavenly Muse: +1 Great Writer, Great Artist, and Great Musician Points for Theater Square Districts with a AMPHITHEATER , Art Meseum and BROADCAST CENTER respectively.
- Ingenuity:+1 Great Person Points from Campus (Great Scientist), Commercial Hub (Great Merchant), and Industrial Zone (Great Engineer) districts with Tier 1 building.
- Spirit of Aggression:+1 Great Person Points from Harbor (Great Admiral) and Encampment (Great General) districts. +5% Production towards All Military Units.。
- Goddess of Commerce:+1 Trade Route capacity and a free Trader in the Capital. +1 Faith from your Domestic Trade Routes, +1 Culture from your International Trade Routes.
- Inherent Curiosity:+1 Science and +1 Faith from Pastures and Camps.
Four Pantheon beliefs are tweaked to be properly useful:
- Desert Miracles: Desert tiles yield +1 Faith and cose 50% less Gold to purchase. Holysitss grant adjacent desert tiles +1 Food, and receive +1 Housing if built on desert.
- Primordial Waters: From adjacent Coast or Lake tiles, Holysitss receive +1 Amenity and +1 Housing, and an additional standard Faith adjacency bonus for each.
- Messenger of the Gods:Receive +1 Trade Route capacity and a free Trader in the Capital. +1 Gold and additional +1 Gold for each Trading Post from all Trade Routes.
- Sacred Emissaries:Receive 2 City-State Envoys. +1 Influence point per turn, and additional +1 Influence point from Government Plaza district and each Worship building.
- DANCE OF THE AURORA: Tundra and Snow tiles grant a standard Faith adjacency bonus to Holy Sites and a minor Science/Culture adjacency bonus to Campuses / Theater Squares.
- DESERT FOLKLORE: Desert tiles gain +1 Faith, and grant a standard Faith adjacency bonus to Holy Sites and a minor GOLD/PRODUCTION adjacency bonus to Commercial Hubs / Industrial Zones.
- DEVINE SPARK: +1 GreatProphet for Holy Sites, +1 GreatScientist for Campuses with a Library, and +1 GreatWriter for Theater Squares with an Amphitheater. Holy Site receives an additional minor Faith bonus from each adjacent Campuses and Theater Squares, and also grants an additional minor Science and Culture bonus to these districts.
- RIVER GODDESS: Renamed to ‘Godness of Water’. +1 Amenity and +2 Housing to cities with a Holy Site adjacent to natural or artificial water sources.
- GOD OF THE SEA: +1 Production and +1 Food from Fishing Boats.
- GOD OF THE FORGE: +25% Production toward Ancient and Classical military units. Gain Faith euqal to 25% of the unit’s cost when a non civilian is trained.
- GOD OF HEALING: Increases Healing by +10 for all your units, and additional +20 when they are in your Holy Site district or any adjacent tiles. Your units heal up to 10 hit points after killing an enemy unit.
- GOD OF WAR: Bonus Faith equal to 50% of the strength of each combat unit killed. (on Standard Speed) Encampment building yields Faith equal to Production, Harbor yields Faith equal to Gold Adjacency bonus.
- MONUMENT TO THE GODS: +10% Production towards wonders, and additional +5% Production for Ancient and Classical era ones. Gains +2 Culture and +2 Faith from each World wonder. Gain +10% bonus to Total Tourism.
- CITY PATRON GODDESS: +10% Production toward districts, and additional +15% Production in cities without a specialty district. Holy Site receives an additional minor Faith adjacency bonus from each adjacency district.
- EARTH GODDESS: Tiles with Charming/Breathtaking Appeal grant +1/+2 Faith for Holy Sites, and +1/+2 Amenities for Entertaiment complexes.
- INITIATION RITES: Gain 1 Envoy and Faith upon barbarian camp dispersal. Levying city-state units costs 25% less Gold.
- GOD OF CRAFTSMEN: +1 Production and +1 Science from Mines over Strategic resources.
- STONE CIRCLES: +1 Food, +1 Faith and +1 Production from Quarries.
- RELIGIOUS IDOLS: +1 Food, +1 Faith and +1 Culture from Mines over Luxury and Bonus resources.
- GOD OF THE OPEN SKY: +1 Production and +1 Culture from Pastures.
- GODDESS OF FESTIVALS: +1 Food and +1 Production from Plantations.
- GODDESS OF FIRE: +1 Food, +2 Faith and +1 Science from Geothermal Fissures and Volcanic Soil.
- Sacred Path: Holysitss receive an extra standard and minor [ICON_Faith] Faith adjacency bonus from Rainforest and Wood respectively.
Add some removed beliefs of early DLCs back to the game.
- GODDESS OF THE HARVEST: +25% yields from plot harvests and feature removals. Harvesting a resource or removing a feature receives Faith equal to 10% of the other yield’s quantity.
- ORAL TRADITION: +1 Faith and +1 Culture from Plantations.
Add some new beliefs to boost gameplay systems and strategies that are NOT weighted enough.
- Prime Enlightened: An Economic slot of current government is converted into a Wild slot. Your military units receive +3 Combat Strength versus Barbarian and City-state units.
- Evolutionism: Military units accumulate experience +20% faster, demand 20% less gold and resource to upgrade. All units with promotion list can choose from any possible promotions instead of random ones.
- God of Wealth: Improved Luxury resources provide an Amenity to 1 extra city. ALL improved Strategic resources yield +1 additional resource per turn.
- Assasin’s Creed: Gain +1 Spy capacity, +50% Production to Spies, and could purchase Spy with Faith. Your spies operate as if 1 level more experienced and could choose from any possible promotions.
- Messenger of Oracle: Gain 1 free Governor Title. Cities with an established governor yields +0.5 identity and +0.5 pressure for each Citizen. Foreign cities that leave its civilization with receiving the most Loyalty pressure from you will instantly join your empire.
