Description:

If you’re like me, you love the strong showing Chrace made in the Warden & the Paunch. This mod buffs the units associated with Chrace as follows, increasing recruitment cost and upkeep to (roughly) match. These are not meant to be game-breaking buffs or to make these units supplant top tier units, but instead are intended to make Chracian-themed armies a more feasible possibility, even into end game.

All effects noted below apply to the RoR versions of the units as well, which have also seen cost/upkeep increases. I’ve done some light testing and the units are performing roughly how I had hoped.

Constructive criticism is always appreciated, but I made this mod because I can’t play due to some weird nerve damage in my wrists, so I won’t be making sub-mods or responding to everyone. Thanks for your understanding–and anyone who wishes is welcome to build off this base mod as desired.

Onto the unit changes!

White Lions
No longer will your white lions flee to a greenskin’s fungal farts. Like the elite troops they are, they’ll charge fiercely, won’t flee easily, and encourage those around them — as the guardians of the Phoenix King himself most certainly would. They’ve received the following:

+1 hit point per entity
+4 melee defense
+1 base weapon damage
+1 AP weapon damage
+6 charge bonus
+ immune to psychology
+ encourage

White Lion Chariots
Since they are ridden by white lions, it’s only fair they get some of their buffs; however, the lions themselves aren’t immune to psychology and therefore neither is this unit. They’ve received the following:

+4 melee defense
+ encourage

War Lions
These are my favorite units of the DLC. I want them to be stickier and to reflect the way lions hunt large prey in prides. Therefore, they’ve seen the greatest changes–particularly in their primary role of anti-large now as opposed to anti-infantry–and received the following:

+18 hit points per entity
+5 leadership
+10 armor
+20% physical resistance (intended to be just like the ‘dodge’ ability, but I’m lazy and just added the resistance directly)
+2 melee attack and melee defense
+ 12 bonus vs large
– 6 bonus vs infantry

Rangers
They, quite simply, feel like they under-perform for their role and cost, but shouldn’t be overtuned either. They’ve received a light buff:

+3 hit points per entity
+4 melee attack
+5 armor
