Give Green Devourer Acid!

So I was reading the description of the green devourer and it mentions how they use acid to dissolve their prey.. But imagine my surprise when I find they have no acid? Not even on the insides!
So with a quick little tweak I have blessed our hungry friend with a nice healthy dose of stomach acid he can spit up on an unexpecting dwarf to melt his face off.
What does this acid do?
* A potent necrosis of the flesh. It rots off and melts away leaving only bone.
