Japan’s first automatic level crossing alarm

Japan’s first automatic level crossing alarm, introduced around 1930 in the early Showa period.
At the time of its introduction, the alarm consisted of only a lamp and a bell, with no direction indication, and was black and white instead of yellow and black.
It can be seen in the movie "Railway Signal," produced in 1940.
