Umiboze: Graveyard of the Sea Ghosts
Welcome to Umiboze – the Graveyard of the Sea Ghosts.
Originally a camp of salvagers looking to tear apart the strange metallic structures (the ‘Sea Ghosts’) for some cats, Umiboze eventually developed into one of the most prosperous societies in the United Cities.
As the Trader’s Guild has been keen on monopolizing control of the price of iron, the salvage of the Sea Ghosts has greatly declined in recent years. The waters around the Sea Ghosts, however, teem with fish looking for shelter – and as such, the city sustains itself through trade, fishing, and entertainment.
The vast majority of residents in Umiboze hold numerous superstitious beliefs about the Sea Ghosts. While some believe them to be some sort of memorial or grave, most ‘believers’ argue that the Sea Ghosts are a gift from the Ancients – an unnatural fortification guarding against the unknown horrors of the sea.
