A-10C Thunderbolt II

{Specifications}

– Length : 16.26 m
– Height : 4.47 m
– Wingspan : 17.53 m
– Maximum speed : 706 km/h
– Crew : 1

– The A-10C is a single-seat, twin-turbofan, straight-wing, subsonic, attack aircraft developed by Fairchild Republic for the USAF

– The A-10 was designed to provide close air support (CAS) to friendly ground troops by attacking armored vehicles, tanks, and other enemy ground forces

– The A-10 is battle-hardened to an exceptional degree, being able to survive direct hits from armor-piercing and high-explosive projectiles up to 23mm

– Although the A-10 can carry a considerable amount of munitions, its primary built-in weapon is the 30×173 mm GAU-8/A Avenger autocannon
