Description:

Orbitron rolls into the world of Rivals of Aether!

Orbitron has a high defense, but most of its attacks lack kill power. Without efficient use of its energy meter, it will have a hard time defeating opponents.

Energy Meter :

The energy meter is filled any time Orbitron hits an opponent or parries an attack. It is decreased when getting hit, getting parried, or losing a stock. The meter can be spent with DSpecial, and can be locked in place with Taunt.

DSpecial – Spend Energy :

Using down special while the energy bar is at or above half full will enter Energy Mode. In Energy Mode, attacks deal far more damage and knockback, and special attacks gain new properties. As soon as an opponent is hit, Energy Mode will end and the energy bar will be reset. It will also end if it is stayed in for more than 5 seconds, or if Orbitron is hit by any attack. Energy Mode can be canceled by using down special again.

If the energy bar is completely full when using down special, Orbitron instead enters Full Energy Mode. This mode is even more powerful, and attacks will do very high damage and knockback.

NSpecial – Attraction Slingshot :

The Attraction Slingshot is a fast projectile with a high startup time that can be aimed in any direction. When an opponent is hit, they will be launched directly towards Orbitron, allowing for continued combos even after launching opponents away. In Energy Mode, the slingshot gains a laser sight, charges much faster, and stuns opponents longer. In Full Energy Mode, the slingshot is replaced with a large, long ranged energy beam.

FSpecial – Energy Thrust :

Orbitron creates a large flame, which as long range but slow startup. Though it does average damage (by Orbitron’s standards) it fills the Energy Meter more than any other move. In Energy Mode, the flame grows bigger and does double damage, and in Full Energy Mode, it does nearly 7x the damage while lighting opponents on fire.

USpecial – Orbital Launch :

Orbitron’s orbs form a circle before launching it upwards. The move is slow, and doesn’t grant much height. It can also be slightly angled during the startup. In Energy Mode, the launch gains a hitbox, goes higher, and no longer goes into pratfall. In Full Energy Mode, the launch goes extremely high, while also granting invincibility.

Taunt – Energy Lock :

Taunt locks the energy meter in place. No actions will effect it, though dying still causes a small amount to be lost. The meter can be unlocked by using down special.

Known Problems :

RGB alt’s bow / energy hit effects don’t change color, and are locked to the color shown on the CSS.
