Description:

I think The Butcher’s Circus DLC does a better job at capturing the unique strengths (and weaknesses!) of some of the classes than the single player campaign does. So here we are!
This is part five of a small project aiming to make DD classes more similar to their Butcher’s Circus counterparts, while also introducing some big changes where I felt they would better differentiate a class from the base game.

Circusy Shieldbreaker further emphasizes the peculiarities of this class taking inspiration from PvP. Her core elements are her agility and her shield, so everything was modified with this in mind. She is now extremely dodgy and deadly, dancing around the enemies and eliminating them as quickly as possible while also trying to avoid direct damage at all costs (see changelog for full details).

I am pretty new to modding so any feedback is appreciated!

Circusy Shieldbreaker Rework, v. 1.2:

– base stats: highest base dodge among all classes, lowest HP pool, highest crit chance;
– increased deathblow resistance (73%) to reflect her story and resilience;
– base dmg unchanged, but some skills got stronger;
– resistances mostly unchanged, slightly higher bleed res;
-> New crit buff that grants a whopping +33% prot: offense is her best defense.

Skills

Pierce
– slightly lower accuracy
– no longer suffers any damage penalty

Puncture
– better accuracy, crit chance
– bonus damage against guarded targets
-> now actually preferable over Impale against guarded targets

Impale
– slightly lower accuracy
– slightly higher damage
– blight progression starts at level 1

Adder’s kiss
– +10% bonus dmg
– strongest crit progression
– slightly lower accuracy

Expose
– slightly better accuracy at max level (stealthed enemies often quite dodgy)
– slightly better damage
– usable against rank 4

Captivate
– debuffs speed and stun resistance (a daze, kinda)
– debuffs healing received
-> Hint: big sneks

Serpent Sway (2 uses per battle)
– 2 blocks
– buffs dodge (scales up to +15) for 3 rounds (a la Butcher’s Circus)
– clears removable debuffs
-> A very safe spot in a pinch
