Warsaw Central Railway Station
The Warsaw Central Railway Station (Warszawa Centralna) was opened and inaugurated by Leonid Brezhnev in 1975. The station is located on the Warsaw Cross-City Line and features four underground island platforms with eight tracks in total. It was constructed as a flagship project of the Polish People’s Republic during the 1970s economic boom, and was intended to replace the inadequate and obsolete Warszawa Główna railway station.
