The Glorious Empire II an Empire Reskin
Update 1.5
-Added new, unique models for Archers & Crossbowmen
-Replaced the bald variant of the artillery crew.
Update 1.4
-Fixed the dreadful Black Armor bug, thanks to the ModdingDen
-Removed Extra Variants as requirement & placebo fix.
Update 1.3
-Implemented a fix, which adds 7 new models to the melee State Troopers.
-Added new, unique models for the Deathjacks Archer RoR. Made them look like legendary looters, treasure hunters and bandits due to their thieving & looting reputation.
Update 1.2
-Added unique models for Zintler’s Reiksguard & Officers in the Grand Order of Reiksguard mod. Once again, load it BEFORE the Grand Order of Reiksguard for my changes to take place.
-Added compability & support for Singe’s Unit Compilation/Empire Unit Pack (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2790061057). Load my mod BEFORE Singe’s Unit Compilation for my changes to take place.
-Added Extra Variants : Empire Captain as requirement, turns out that enabling that mod fixes the black armor pieces bug.
Update 1.1
-Added compability for the Grand Order of the Reiksguard (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2857831443), load my mod BEFORE if you want the Reiksguard to use my reskin. Load it after if you want to KEEP the ORIGINAL Reiksguard models from the base game.
-Discovered, that Crossbowmen, Stir’s River Patrol and Silver Bullets were overwritten by another mod whilst I was testing it, so they should be in the game. If not, assure that this mod loads BEFORE everything else.
=================================================================================
The Glorious Empire II is a sequel to my Empire "reskin" back in Warhammer 2, which gave the regular State Troops and Regiments of Renown more armor, to come across as more "giga chad". Rather than just carrying over my mod from WH2 to WH3, I’ve chosen to redo almost every non hero unit that the Empire has, kitbashing various resources provided by the game together to piece together an aesthetic I believe to be fitting and pleasing. And compared to my presuccessor, I’ve decided to seperate the state troops properly, including Regiments of Renown.
=================================================================================
Units Included:
Melee State Troops (+All RoR)
Melee State Troops were outfitted to look like a proper military, rather than a ragtag militia. They were given plate armor, as well as helmets that actually protect their faces now.
Reiksguard
The idea behind the Reiksguard reskin was, to make the Reiksguard look like The Boys of Karl Franz, mounted royal guards that Karl Franz rides with and can easily conceal in during combat.
Empire Knights
Greatswords (+Carroburg Greatswords)
I really wanted to keep the Landsknecht aesthetic that the Greatswords had, whilst also making them look like battle hardened killers and warriors, which is why I’ve given them more plate – have given them a more "noble" look, as well as their fluffy hats to keep the aesthetic true.
Artillery Crew (includes RoR)
Because seriously, they looked ridicilous. Gave them what I considered "bare minimum" equipment, essentially making it seem as if they can at least fight in the upmost emergency, rather than court jesters lost on their way to Altdorf.
Handgunners (+Surefires)
Went for a more ‘guardsman’ kind of look for the Handgunners, somewhat more regal and "noble", as if these men are actually tasked with keeping law and order in cities.
Pistoliers & Outriders (+ All RoR)
I’ve tried to keep the aesthetic of nobles, whilst also adding a more intimidating and battle hardened look to them, especially the Bordermen. Gave them more armor, as they could realistically afford it.

However this mod isn’t 100%, I am still planning on redoing archers – as a matter of fact, I had already a concept, but I’ve decided not to include it just yet, as I may scrap it. I’ve also had issues with the Crossbowmen, the Regiment of Renown Variant and Silver Bullets for some reason, so they might come with a later update. I also aim to make this compatible with any future Empire Unit Mod packs, so they don’t stick out too much compared to the aesthetic this mod provides. If you’ve got suggestions or requests, do let me know.
