SPRidley Studios – Ports of the World
SPRidley Studios – Port of the World is 3rd and final version of my old Ports of the World/Port Royale Alpha 1 park. It was completed and enhanced top to bottom for the Commercial Break Planet Coaster competition, video that you can enjoy in the same workshop page or in my youtube channel. The small roman area, called Port Imperialis, has been exapanded subtantially with new rides and buildings, passing from a small roman camp with a cul de sac, to a sprawling Roman Port and forest.
The older version of Ports of the World is a theme park started and "finished" on Alpha 1 (called at the time Port Royale).
As a thanks to my 500 youtube subscribers its was fixed, with some parts completly remade (shop buildings renewed, retracking of the coasters, blue roofs changed for real water…), for the final release of the game.
I also added a new area based around an Ancient Rome camp, started during Alpha 2, but never finished.
This will be the final revision and I hope you enjoy the expansion.
The park contains two areas:
-Port Royale – Area based on a pirate town, with 4 rides:
·Victory – Voyage of the Damned: Highly themed B&M hypercoaster (with a similar track to that of Shambhala, a real coaster at Port Aventura) and main ride of the area.
·Hammer Swing: and S&S screamin’ swing.
·Whirly Rig: a kid’s ferris wheel.
·Rocktopus: a SDC Polyp ride.
-Port Imperialis – Giant area based on Ancient Roman, that inludes a roman camp, a city with a port and a roman forest, with 4 rides:
·Imperium: Themed arrow coaster, with catapults and roman tents surrounding the battlefield, this coaster is situated in the roman camp.
·Corinthiis Fall: An Intamin gyrodrop in the middle of roman ruins, with views of all the park. It has been enhanced with added theming (red roman banners) to the top of the tower. The tower is just outside the roman city.
·Neptune’s Fury: A log flume with 3 drops located in the middle of a roman port. The port is all heavily themed and the rest of the ride travels through the top and inside of a big mountain. The interior lifthill has a small darkride segment with Neptune attacking you and flooding with water the cavern before you plummet on the second drop.
·Equitatus Circus: A double deck carroussel themed around chariots and carriages in the middle of the roman forest.
·Wooden COLOSSUS (Green and Yellow): wooden duelling coasters that travel through the roman forest and temples. The station is the huge temple of Colossus where you will see a giant statue of him. (Wooden Colossus was inspired by Stampida, and duelling coaster in PortAventura)
The areas also contain various highly themed shops, restaurants and restrooms, including the interiors of some of them.
Theres little space free and the map is basically filled form side to side. thats why I consider this version completed (although im sure you could cut a bunch of trees for more space if you wanted).
