The Tentara Nasional Indonesia (Indonesian National Army) is the name for the armed forces in Indonesian state. At the beginning of its formation, this institution was called Tentara Kemanan Rakyat (People’s Security Army) then changed its name to Tentara Republik Indonesia (Indonesian Army) before being renamed to Tentara Nasional Indonesia (Indonesian National Army) until today. The TNI consists of three armed forces, namely TNI Angkatan Darat (Army), TNI Angkatan Laut (Navy) and TNI Angkatan Udara (Air Force). (Wikipedia)
