History:
After the Akumu Class was completed in 1938, many nations started to build their own dreadnoughts exceeding the length of 600m as well as mounting larger caliber 20 inch to 30 inch weapons. Hence the Akumu class 18 inch (460mm) guns are obsolete. The Sakura Navy had to come up with a more powerful armament for their flagship class, fielding a tripled 900mm gun. Testing begin with 800mm guns that were sourced from another nation and it deemed too weak, hence it was upgraded to a 900mm. This refit was completed in 1943. From 1943 to 1950, more advanced radars and directors were added, including the addition of 40mm bofors and getting rid of the old 25mm AA guns. The ship has served in a total of 5 wars in which it played a key role in politics, dubbed "big ship diplomacy".
