Eminent Domain (Land Management and OCD Simulator)
Do you ever feel frustrated by your borders? Not because you don’t have enough land, but because your borders are absolutely hideous?
This mod aims to fix this by adding a title decision on counties within your realm to "reclaim" or "repossess" the land of your vassals in order to better adhere to de jure borders or simply fit whatever your OCD dictates at the time. You need only to be independent and have the county fall under your realm either as an direct or indirect vassal. No more messing around with vassal retractions and claims.
Simply right click on the title coat of arms of the desired county and select, "Reclaim Land."
This can obviously be abused, but I won’t judge 😉
Note: You don’t have to worry about the AI taking your land through this or other players doing it to you in multiplayer, as the decision can only be activated by players and can only be used against AI.
There are seven different cost settings in the game rules to choose from:
Free (no cost)
Cheap (100 prestige)
Cheap with Ducats (100 prestige and gold)
Expensive (250 prestige)
Expensive with Ducats (250 prestige and gold)
Gouging (250 prestige and 500 gold)
Exorbitant (500 prestige and 1000 gold)
UPDATE: There are also three different settings for diplomatic impact:
None: no effect on opinion
Light: -10 opinion from vassal for five years
Heavy: -25 opinion from vassal for ten years
Not Achievement Compatible, but should be compatible with almost any other mod that isn’t a total overhaul as this mod does not change vanilla files.
