Fornication / Adultery Doctrine Split (Elder Kings 2)
IMPORTANT: This mod doesn’t actually require you to have downloaded the original version and you should definitely not have both this and the original active at the same time! It’s included in the Required Files section for crediting purposes and so you can check the detailed mod description there.
This is an Elder Kings 2 conversion of the mod with the same name by Dallan, linked in the Required Files. Check the main mod page for the full description. The credit goes fully to Dallan, since this is mostly a direct conversion and I just did the grunt work of merging the changes between that mod and Elder Kings 2.
The only extra change I made was to add a rule setting for what the fornication doctrines should default to, since detailed Elder Scrolls lore on the matter is a bit sparse. There are four settings available:
Default: Fornication doctrines will initialize to the same value as the faith’s Adultery doctrine. This is basically the same as vanilla behavior, except you have to option to make any custom faiths you create in-game more or less permissive of fornication.
Virtue and Sin Based: This uses a modified version of the initialization script from the original mod. If you want the nitty-gritty details you can take a look at comments in commonscripted_effectsfads_startgame_effects.txt, but the short version: faiths that view Lustful positively and/or Deceitful negatively are more permissive of fornication than their adultery setting.
Permissive: This defaults all faiths to Accepted for fornication except for any that are defaulted to Shunned based on lore reasons. Right now I only have Aldmeri faiths set to Shunned due to their focus on bloodline purity and rejecting mortal trappings, but if you know of any other that should be this way let me know!
Very Permissive: All faiths use Accepted.

This mod edits the same definitions as the original did, so check that page for most of them. The only additional one I needed to change was crown_verity_judgement_modifier from commonscripted_modifiersek_scripted_modifiers.txt.
