Description:

Makes EVERY round (including rifle and SMG rounds) a tracer round, enhancing battlefield readability and badassery.

Yes I know its not realistic, I do not care. Do not tell me how much it supposedly "pains" you to see generic yellow tracers for every bullet because you want to prove how smart you are. No remarks about Star Wars, the lasers in Star Wars were literally inspired by the tracers of WW2 I do not even want to hear it, you are NOT as clever as you think you are.

I have no clue what I am doing so there is a non zero chance I managed to catastrophically ♥♥♥♥ something up, so any feedback other than "realism" is very welcome.

NOT RECOMMENDED FOR PEOPLE WHO HATE FUN!

Future features I will probably add after building my new PC:

-More diverse tracers. Nothing too crazy or immersion breaking, but just slight variations to colour, shape, and size for each weapon to create a more visually interesting battlefield. This already sort of exists in its current state, with different weapon types having different sized bullets, and MGs having different types of tracers, but I would like to take it further without it being silly. Hopefully would reward people who take the time to learn the subtle variations to know exactly what they’re being shot at with immediately.

-DShK tracer fix. The DShK has default tracer frequency values, meaning it doesn’t fire tracers on every round. This is because I was lazy :P. Sorry. Let me know if there’s anything else I missed.

-Firing on the move improvements. This mod enables basic fire on the move functionality, because I desperately love it and it fits with the cool factor of this mod, and I also find it extraordinarily useful and miss it dearly. That being said, it was removed for a reason – it didn’t work terribly well. It DID work mostly alright in Call to Arms, so I think it is something that can be fixed or at least improved. Will investigate further. As of now, the mod enables it, but it is somewhat inconsistent. Still better than them just standing out in the open and never getting to their destination.

-Silly Mode. A few people have requested – either seriously or jokingly – to turn it up to 11 and make tracers of all sorts of bright fun colours, something something Star Wars. Not only would this make for a beautiful and visually interesting battlefield, but it could also be seen as a utility for competitive play to allow for immediate recognition of whats going on at a glance. This is the opposite of the response I anticipated, and isn’t something that personally appeals to me. However, I like the idea and appreciate why people would prefer it, so while I won’t be taking this version of the mod in that direction, I will eventually make an alternate "Silly Mode" version that pays no mind to suspension of disbelief or subtlety and fully embraces utility and aesthetic above all else. Stay tuned.
