MISSION STATEMENT

This submod aims to add a further level of depth and immersion to the game’s political system and active missions feature.

OVERVIEW

The political system scripts have been totally redone, with many values being adjusted and edited to achieve a more influential system. For example, most traits loyalty effects, caps, and triggers have been raised or lowered in accordance with one another so while some have the ability to be quite impactful, either negatively or positively, the system retains a good balance similar to the original one. All text and UI tooltips have also been adjusted to properly display the correct real-time values. The main modifiers you will consistently see changed or added are turn time length, loyalty effect, minimum requirements, total cap value, and the delta value. The main changes in Politica covering effects and different aspects of the political mechanic for R2 are as follows:

Political Party Traits

Leader Traits

Party leaders and faction leader dying outside of battle

Party leaders and Generals dying in battle

Party Generals winning or losing a battle (Type of victory or defeat has different outcomes as well)

Certain Political actions

Several Campaign occurrences and events

Imperium

Difficulty

Active missions and events that occur through campaigns have also been visited in Politica. Users will now encounter new occurrences and some more missions to achieve. Also, their effects, turn times, and awards/penalties have been adjusted in order to make this lacking area of the game somewhat more prevalent and interesting. No longer will the player be tasked with traveling half way across the map in a couple of turns, only to receive the equivalent of a spit in the face.

CONCLUSION / FURTHER INFO

As a simple exclaimer, some areas of this mod will need further balancing and fixes, and overall, the help of players to provide reports and suggestions. Nonetheless, it should also be noted that this mod has many future unique additions and content coming to it, some of which is currently in my DEI sub-overhaul mod, but requires further work still. Save-game compatible and should work with a majority of mods and collections, since Politica is mainly script-based. HOWEVER, POLITICA IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH DEI. If you’re interested in having the features of this mod with DEI, you will have to use my Sub-Overhaul DEI Realism, which already contains a version of this mod within it. DEI Realism Link:
