Adds 6 new basic attack animations usable at all skill levels.
I love all the combat animation mods that have been added to Kenshi over the past few years. More Combat Animations by AGO and it’s addons especially due to the sheer amount of content added. However, I also like how snappy and simple the vanilla animations are, allowing for a lot of quick back and forth’s between 2 duelists and well, I just wanted to try out something fresh. So I made my own!
The main aim of this mod is to simply supplement the vanilla animations, allowing for a little bit more variety in fights but aiming to keep the vanilla feel. I plan to add more in the future and make better quality animations.
What’s Added?————————————————————————————–
– 3 blade attack animations (Katanas, Sabres, Hackers)
– Down Slice: a downward slice from the top
– Cut Left: a horizontal slice from the left (an attack direction absent from vanilla)
– Quick Low High Cut: a deceptively fast cut from the right
– 3 polearm attack animations
– Thrust: a thrust from the guard position (they don’t ever utilise that advantage of having a sharp point right in front of your face from a safe distance)
– Thrust Top: a thrust from a top stance
– Thrust 2: a more choreographed variation of the thrust, has additional forward movement
– 1 heavy attack animation
– Heavy Chop Top: the (uncharged) Arc Of Deliverance attack from Dragon’s Dogma. Especially devastating (1.5x normal damage) But a long windup. ++Has a 0.05 chance of happening!++ (Vanilla and all other animations chance is 1.0)
– Additional heavy attack animations are planned
Blunt and MA animations TBA

This mod is completely compatible with other animation mods. Load order should not matter. However, patches for custom races will need to be set but are fairly easy todo, please refer to the links above for a tutorial on how to do so!
