The Gathering Storm expansion brings a new concept to your future battlefield. By wiping out your foes with nukes and then advancing massive atomic-engineed Battle Mechs. In the midst of this, your soldiers are merely supporting actors, relying on outdated weapon systems from the last Information Era period. But does it have to be like this? Should your elite soldiers be mere scapegoats for AI-controlled battlemechs?
This mod applies the Future Era tech promotion upgrade that applies to GDR to your core units. Each upgrade is decentralized to suit their main role in combat. Additionally, some infantry portraits and Unit from the information era will change when players reach the future Era. They will enter the battlefield wearing ‘space battle-dresses’ that are reminiscent of civilization Beyond Earth.
1.ADVANCED_AI: Drone Air Defense, Anti-AI Weapon System

Taken together, your infantry units will be a key force to counter the GDR as you enter the future. Control the entire battlefield with highly maneuverable drones and medics, and deploy extremely advanced SPEC ops behind the enemy.

The fate of some units will not end on Earth. Maybe after you achieve your Science Victory, it will continue on a distant planet. Therefore, in this mode, you can access the units that symbolize the Beyond Earth ‘with Civilization 6 specification’.

Completing the Near Future Governance Civic will allow you to upgrade your mechanized infantry, spec ops, machine guns, and modern ATs. They have a spacesuit-like appearance and are subject to all GDR upgrades. Additionally, they are Able to move and fight in water. Resistant to Weapons of Mass Destruction.(like GDR) Additionally, your Spec ops can be used as military engineers. (Although they can only be built once)

Do you have any vacant land that you haven’t settled on until late in the game? If you are not yet ready to start your journey beyond Earth, you can do the Seed Project on Earth first.
Colonist is a late game pioneer unit that can be crafted after researching Near Future Governance Civic, and has very fast mobility. Even researching cybernetic tech can make a leap forward. And if someone attacks you, you’ll immediately come back to your city. (Like the Great Person) If the land around you is empty, don’t be afraid And expand.
