Fujiwara no Mokou
Fujiwara no Mokou, the Human Inferno and bamboo forest’s immortal guide, steps into the world of Aether to set the competition ablaze.
With her fast speed and red-hot attacks, she can take down opponents with ease. But be careful, as she takes small recoil damage from most attacks. Play with the forces of life and death to leave no trace of the opponent remaining.
After taking a certain amount of recoil damage from her attacks, Mokou’s flames turn blue, triggering Spontaneous Human Combustion. In this state, she is much faster and stronger. However, she takes even more damage over time.
After taking a certain amount of recoil damage during this state, she will revert to normal. Mokou’s Dspecial can be used to heal back this self-damage, allowing her to enter it again and again. Provided, of course, you can stay alive.

- Blazing Bamboo Pipes (NSpecial) – Mokou will throw a bamboo bomb upwards into the air, which can be hit around by any player. She can only have one bomb out at once, but attempting to use the move while you can’t throw a bomb will instead perform a powerful bicycle kick. You can use this strong kick to launch the bomb at unique angles, or try to spike opponents with it instead.
- Self-Destruction Fire Talon (Fspecial) – A three-hit claw swipe, with the last hit sending Mokou flying into the air with her opponent. Go for the full combo, or end it early and see if you can land a different attack.
- Firebird (Uspecial) – Mokou launches herself into the air, with an explosion at her feet that can spike opponents. She sprouts fire wings afterwards and can freely glide. Press special again to unleach a strong fiery kick in front of you, or press dodge or tap down to cancel the glide early.
- Resurrection (Dspecial) – After a long startup, Mokou will burst into flames, and her body burns away before reviving. This reverts any self-inflicted damage she has taken, to a maximum of 60%. After exiting her blue flame state, she will be unable to build up the damage counter again without using this move first, so it is important to try to find opportunities to heal and refresh her damage.
