Music Expanded: Wasteland
If you’re streaming, be warned you might be flagged for the Wasteland 3 Hymn tracks and if that’s a problem I’ll make another mod without them.
The Definitive Collection of the Wasteland Series, from the Beats of the Desert Rangers on the desolate plains to the tech-fetishist of the Guardians of the Old Order. Though the world of the Wasteland came first chronologically, it still remains a perfect RPG during its time in the 1980’s with Nuclear War still in the sites for the American people and defense contractors which is perfect for now since the Cold War has gone from the Freezer to the Fridge.
As a precursor to the Fallout Franchise their soundtrack follows the same vein of dark, apocalyptic ambient tracks which maintain the atmosphere and both being done by the very talented Mark Morgan. Though the series has experimented with which direction they should go which is why in the later games it takes on more musical traits from the 1980’s rather than Fallout’s 1950’s. Wasteland 3 went further with this by having tonal marks with their hymns of classic Americana music during specific points in the story.
