Alvin (DSV-2) is a crewed deep-ocean research submersible owned by the United States Navy and operated by the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, First to reach RMS Titanic, Recovered a sunk hydrogen warhead, discovered the hydrothermal vents, and even spent a year sunk in the bottom of the ocean, until the submarine Aluminaut recovered it.

How to use

  1. Fill fuel and air tanks (air tank is automatic on surface).
  2. Start the generator ( it can run underwater with his air tank).
  3. Flood the ballast (its automatic).
  4. Start diving, you may use the depth holder to help yourself.
  5. DBT means: Depth Below Transducer, this is your distance from the seabed.
  6. For using jason with it, hook both by a cable, use the big winch located at the front bottom of alvin and the top cable anchor on jason.
  7. Jason is able of following Alvin and holding the same depth.
