[GS]The Wei Dynasty civilization led by Wang Yuanji.
Due to the limitations of Chinese classical language, some translations may appear stiff and overly direct. Please understand and enjoy playing my mod!
This is the Wei Dynasty civilization created based on the character Wang Yuanji in the game "Legends of Three Kingdom". It includes two unique units, two unique districts, two unique buildings, and one unique improvement facility.
This civilization’s strength is benchmarked against certain mods for the Workshop, so it may appear to be stronger than the base game. Therefore, you can directly play on Deity difficulty level.
If you like it, please offer a thumb up!
This civilization is a Wei civilization based on the female character Wang Yuanji in the "Legends of Three Kingdom" game. I respect the original history, but please do not take it too literally! (I just want to see my wife) Essentially, I just think Wang Yuanji looks good and made this mod. This is my first mod, and because I didn’t know how to design the focus, it leans towards being all-around. Future mods will have more unique features and focus. If you have any suggestions, bugs, errors, etc., please feel free to leave a comment below for discussion.
Wei Civilization: Based on Cao Wei in the Three Kingdoms, with two abilities – "Wei Wuyang Whip" and "All Hearts Rejoice".
魏武扬鞭: There is a chance that military units of Wei civilization will cause critical hits.
天下归心: An additional wildcard slot is added. Each foreign trade route for each city gains +3 gold and +2 faith.
In the game Legends of Three Kingdom, Wang Yuanji of Wei civilization has two abilities – "Frugality" and "Modesty and Impetuosity". Here are their names:
Frugality: Units with more than 50% health gain +1 movement, and units with less than 50% health ignore combat penalties.
Modesty and Impetuosity: Each tile of Wei cities gains +1 production. After unlocking the Banking technology, cities with a moneylender can purchase regions.
Tuntian is a collective farming system organized directly by the government in order to obtain supplies for the army or tax grain, which was implemented by governments throughout Chinese history after the Han dynasty. In this mod, Tuntian initially comes with food and production bonuses, while gold bonuses are determined by the charm of the tile. As Wei civilization is located in a plain area, the charm of tiles may be lower, so please choose Tuntian locations carefully. After unlocking specific technologies and cultures, Tuntian receives bonuses in science and culture values. Only one Tuntian is allowed per city.
Tiger Guard and Tiger Leopard Cavalry are unique military units of Wei civilization.
Tiger Guard: An ancient melee unit unique to Wei civilization, replacing the Warrior unit. It has a small amount of labor and can only build Tuntian improvements.
Tiger Leopard Cavalry: A medieval heavy cavalry unit unique to Wei civilization, replacing the Knight unit. It does not require maintenance costs and has higher mobility. Its abilities include:
Tiger Cavalry Sharpness: Provides 2 combat strength for each unused movement point.
Leopard Cavalry Charge: Deals full damage to city walls when moving at full movement points.
Tiger Tent and Palace Market are unique regions of Wei civilization.
Tiger Tent: A unique region replacing the Barracks. It has a lower construction cost and provides a culture bomb effect. It has different bonuses when adjacent to certain other regions, so please plan the layout accordingly.
Palace Market: A unique region replacing the Commercial Hub, with no population limit. It grants +1 Great Merchant point per turn and adds 1 trade route capacity upon completion.
Garrison is a unique military building of Wei civilization that replaces the Arsenal. It adds +3 production, +3 gold, and +2 housing. Each turn, it provides +1 Great General point. Newly produced or purchased units in the city gain one initial promotion.
Moneylender is a unique commercial building of Wei civilization that replaces the Market. It adds +4 gold and +3 faith. Each turn, it provides +1 Great Merchant point and +2 citizen slots. At the end of each turn, each moneylender building gives 5% of the treasury’s savings as interest (up to 3000 gold per turn). After unlocking the Banking technology, cities with a moneylender can purchase regions.
As Tiger Tent has a culture bomb effect, it is recommended to build Palace Market next to it after triggering the bomb effect in the early game. This allows for smooth progression in the early game by utilizing Wang Yuanji’s ability to increase tile production and the Tiger Guard’s ability to farm Tuntian for added production. In the mid-game, players can rely on the Tiger Leopard Cavalry’s siege capabilities to continue farming and earning interest, and purchasing regions to achieve other victories.
Current issues:
Tuntian does not have a model. It has not yet been decided whether to use a makeshift model or an existing model from the game.
The interest cap for Moneylender is actually 3000, but the text displayed in the top left corner shows only 1000.
Aesthetics need improvement, including the era score interface and some unit models.
Diplomatic text has not yet been written.
Future plans:
Replace the Governor picture and add a new Governor.
Add a civilization-unique unit (tentatively named General Cao Ying).
Modify the abilities to better fit the original work (the original plan was Frugality: Units gain strength equal to the amount of health lost in the previous turn. Modesty and Impetuosity: When all of Wei’s trade routes are with domestic cities, foreign cities, or city-states, unique buffs are applied. However, due to insufficient abilities, it has been temporarily changed to the current version.)
This mod is not for any commercial use and is open source.
Civilization BGM: "Hazy Memories" by Yuritsuki, "Sunset Puzzle", "Desire" from the game Lumines II, "Dream Fantasy", "Verve", "Sunny Spot", "Footprints of Wind", "Lumière", "Firework Catcher", "An Old Cherry Tree Far From Home". If there is any infringement, it will be immediately changed.
Civilization images: All images come from Wang Yuanji’s skins in the Three Kingdoms Kill game and are not used for commercial purposes. If there is any infringement, they will be immediately changed.
Special thanks to Hemmelfort, Ophidy, IthildinX, UFO300, Quan, and other masters in the group for their help. Without them, it would have been difficult to proceed.
