Latam – Suburban Apartments 1
INTRODUCTION
While housing projects for the masses started popping in the Latin American region in the mid XX century the demand for projects aimed at attending certain groups of the middle class also grew – teachers, police officers, soldiers, nurses, bureaucrats, etc. Those categories formed the backbone of any government and their demands were treated with priority. From then until today its still common to see the soldiers or public bank workers’ quarters, for example, in the countries of the region.
This set consists of 4 housing blocks that are supposed to house those type of workers, offering them spacious and confortable, altough far from luxurious, 80-90 square meters apartments with many windows. The usage of "piloti" also helped easen the high humidity and heat in these blocks. Further diferentiating them from the cheap tenements is the more widespread usage of vivid colors in these buildings. The style is modern.
The buildings are based on blocks from Brasília – Brazil, a modernist standout in Latin America, but similar buildings can be found all over the region. In real life the architects that projected these were very adept to the most modern techniques and aesthetics, largely using prototypes from Europe but adjusting them to the regional characteristics.
GAMEPLAY
This set is comprised of 4 small apartment buildings ranging from 18 to 54 workers and 87-92% housing quality.
Each building has 8 skins, including the base one – remember to download the skins mods!
