CJ187-SimpleSpawner
This very lightweight serverside mod (-servermod=@CJ187-SimpleSpawner) allows the server admin to spawn various objects via a server-side config. No need install to clients.
This mod uses the same spawner mechanics as the Lootchest mod.
It can be explicitly desired objects such as buildings for events at fixed coordinates, or a random object from a longer list at a random coordinate can also be placed.
If a random placement is desired, then this is shuffled at each server restart.
What makes this system so different from the original event spawns is that it is much easier to achieve a desired result here.
A small example what is better with this than with the Events.xml:
You want to have one object of 10 possible appear at each of 10 locations.
So at each of the 10 locations one of 10 objects should appear randomly.
The events.xml would not distinguish how often which object has been placed at a location and would possibly spawn several objects at the same coordinate.
This system here does not do that.
This spawner assigns a coordinate only once.
This means that 10 objects at 10 positions really spawns one object at each of the 10 locations.
Also, a very special object, such as a ruin, a wreck or anything else can easily be placed at one of many coordinates.
Accordingly, you have to search for it.
This mod contains only the basic framework, further mods based on it I will provide and can be used by others for it as well.
The code of this mod wrote once again the generous Hunterz, who already fulfilled all my wishes in the Lootchest and provided us with great mods such as the Treasures, Carcovers or the dogs!
