Description:

*Updated for patch 1.19*

About the sample video…it’s only my second try at making one, and although it’s better than the first, the sound quality is not tops. There’s a bit of an echo, but I assure you there isn’t one in-game. The war songs play from 3:22 to 5:26 if you’d like to skip ahead to hear those.

Plays with countries that have a Byzantine culture group. Also works for countries that accept a cultural shift to Greek. Once the cultural shift is accepted, the new music will play after the current song finishes.

Countries that begin with the Byzantine culture group are Byzantium and Trebizond (and possibly Theodoro, although I’m not certain). Countries that can accept a cultural shift to Greek are the Knights, Cyprus, Naxos and Corfu. Countries that can be released and played as vassals that have the Byzantine culture group, or can accept a cultural shift if applicable, are Morea, Achaea, Crete and Epirus. There may be one or two other countries that apply here, but this is basically the list.

The music completely replaces the original songs. There are around 40 songs, mostly Byzantine secular music, with two Byzantine Orthodox chants, ancient Greek lyra music, music from the Greek islands, and two Rembetika songs. There are also four war songs. Send me a comment if you have a question about any of them. UPDATE: Added music from Crete and Epirus and a few more Byzantine chants.

Works with patch 1.18 1.19 and is Ironman compatible. It will take a few minutes to download from Steam. I have a link to the manual download, but Steam doesn’t allow links (or didn’t, may have changed), so leave a comment and I’ll try to send it to you if you want.

Don’t forget to rate it up if you like it 🙂
