The Similar (WIP)
After three years, Similar has finally received an update! We look forward to you experiencing the adorable Similar again!
1. Optimized Similar’s tail details. It now has a more dynamic and detailed tail. When Similar crouches down to hide, its tail retains its original color and stands upright, making it look more like a batnip.
2. It now only strongly attracts bats when crouching (hiding). Its attraction to bats is reduced when it’s not crouching.
3. When bats continuously nibble on the leaves on Similar’s tail, the leaves will become pitted and uneven. However, they will recover after a nap.
4. Adjusted Similar’s photosynthesis mechanism. It can now sense ambient light more clearly. When it can photosynthesize, its tail will flash particles to indicate that it is sunbathing (and it will close its eyes).
5. Increased Similar’s lung capacity. Obviously, as a plant, it naturally has a larger lung capacity.
【About Similar】 Evolved through natural selection, the Slugcat is adept at camouflage, skillfully blending into its environment as it embarks on journeys in search of comfortable shelter.
Similar’s abilities make survival easier. Its semi-plant cell structure allows it to photosynthesize in the wild, uses its mimicry tail to attract bat flies, and performs other camouflage maneuvers.
【Abilities】
+Photosynthesis: While in open areas in the wild, it can slowly recover its satiety through photosynthesis.
+Prey Attraction: Bat flies are attracted and will actively approach.
+Mimicry Camouflage: When crouching or crawling, it enters a stealthy state, making it difficult for predators to detect it (the mimicry effect is canceled upon attack).
+Karma Protection: At full satiety, holding ↑ + the pick-up button consumes all satiety to gain a Karma level protection. Consuming a Karma Flower while already under Karma protection directly increases Karma by one level.
+Extremely Cute: Similar is an incredibly cute Slugcat, suitable for everyone!
【Other】 Similar was born on a sky island, has relatively weak physical abilities, and currently lives in a similar timeline and environment to Monk.
This mod will continue to be updated in the future, and Similar may have more new mechanics, storylines, and more original content.

【Author’s Note】 From Cotton: Ah, finally made it this far… It was really tough. I’m just a beginner who has only been learning programming and C# for two and a half months. This is the first mod I’ve ever made, and many functions were implemented with the help of the group’s teachers (the mod code is a mess, please don’t look at it, experts.jpg). But thinking that Charcoal Tea’s cute cat actually came to fruition in the end still makes me very happy! Carbontea’s cat is so cute (let me eat first.jpg)

Similar was originally an original Slugcat OC I designed in 2018.
Similar was inspired by the red grass that attracts bat flies in the game, the mimicry rod, and some real-world insect-hunting plants. Because Rain World gives a sense of danger, I gave this Slugcat the ability to mimic and camouflage. Its semi-plant structure allows it to photosynthesize and attract bats.
I hope everyone likes Similar; I already love it to death.
