Ultimate Sun Diver – Dyson Miner
Crew-efficient ship that can get into sun’s damaging area and grab valuable resources.
They have many names: sundiver, star diver, sun swimmer etc. Me? I prefer ‘Sun Diver’.
————— ‘Sun Diver’? Why go into the sun? —————
The Sun’s damaging area is full of rare resources like Au, Tr, C, as well as various resources left by destroyed stray ships. Sun Divers can get in there and collect the resources.
————— Features —————
- Mine Asteroids and collect resources in the Sun’s death zone!
- Push Asteroids & Ship remains out of the Sun’s death zone for future mining.
————— How Deep Can They Dive? —————
X can stay right next to sun’s surface. (shown in the screenshot)
Other models can get about 80% of the way in.
————— How to Push Asteroids —————
- Use R to rotate the ship until the shields are facing the sun.
- Use Z to strafe into the sun (If you just use move command the ship will turn around). Position your ship behind an asteroid.
- Use X+Move command to push asteroids until you’re safely outside. (by default, your ship will try to avoid asteroids instead of pushing them. pressing X toggles that behavior.)
- Once outside, mine the valuable asteroid to your heart’s content 🙂

《 Dyson Miner Mini 》
— The cheapest design. You must manually push the Asteroids outside due to the lack of Mining Lasers.

— This model has unmatched shield performance and stability. It can literally touch the surface of sun!
《 Dyson Miner Omega 》
— Slow, crew-heavy, expensive. However it does have one unique feature — It can move freely thanks to the 360° shields that protects it from every angle. If you have the resources to spare or find driving the other models too bothersome, this one is for you.
