Alshua’s Cultists
Extends Cultist recruitment (both the existing male cultists and the four new Cultists) to Warriors of Chaos, Champions of Chaos, Daemon Prince, Norsca, Morathi, and Malus Darkblade.
Recruitment is designed to minimize impact on vanilla balance (e.g., by denying Norsca warshrines). The individual Cultist mods have more limited recruitment.
If you are not familiar with these Cultists already, you are strongly encouraged to check out the detailed descriptions in the links above.
Heavens Mage
Fortune-tellers, prophetesses, Astromancers, and Celestial Mages, corrupted into the service of Tzeentch.
Dual Swords Light Melee
Hedonistic Dark Elves who perpetuate the Cults of Excess that nearly doomed the elven race, protected by the covert influence of Morathi.
(Note: The Pleasure Cultist replaces the Cultist of Slaanesh, rather than being added as a new Cultist. A second Cultist may arrive one day…)
Axe and Shield Heavy Melee
Embittered survivors of Norscan raids, who have grown as murderous and indiscriminate as those who butchered their home villages.
Support Melee
Twisted peasant gardeners devoted to spreading their beautiful flower, which can only grow in Nurgle-corrupted lands.
Male Cultists have been given appropriate new names, since they can no longer be referred to simply as "Cultist of Khorne", etc.
Cultist of Khorne -> Cultist of War
Cultist of Nurgle -> Bubonic Cultist
Cultist of Tzeentch -> Cult Acolyte
All of the vanilla, male Cultists are included in the recruitment extension, and all associated features. Where relevant, Cultists are integrated into technology, mechanics, and skills that would naturally involve them.
- Kairos, N’kari, Skarbrand, Ku’gath – All retain their standard recruitment, with the new Cultists added.
- Archaon, Bela’kor, Kholek– Resource buildings were already called "Cultist Encampments" for this faction. Each type of resource is associated with a certain Chaos God, allowing recruitment of that type of Cultist. In a pinch, certain standard buildings can recruit them, but will not increase the unit cap.
- Sigvald– Same as above, but any Resources that would have granted Khorne recruitment will instead grant Slaanesh recruitment. Sigvald can still recruit Tzeentch and Nurgle Cultists; he just won’t tolerate Slaanesh’s great rival Khorne forming cults among his ranks.
- Vilitch, Azazel, Valkia, Festus – Each can only recruit the Cultists of their patron God, from Cultist Encampments. Valkia slightly prefers her fellow warrior-women, the Cultists of Brass. Festus, as a cult leader, buffs all Nurgle Cultists a little.
- Daemon Prince ("Daniel") – Has a totally different set of Cultist Encampments, from which he recruits all four cultist types.
- Wulfrik, Throgg, etc – By committing to the Eagle, Serpent, Hound, or Crow, Norscans unlock a single God’s Cultists. For balance/flavor reasons, Norscan Cultists lack Warshrines.
- Morathi – Recruits Pleasure Cultists from the (where else?) Cult of Pleasure building, sharing unit cap with Death Hags.
- Malus Darkblade – When his Tzarkan corruption is very high, Malus recruits Pleasure Cultists from any region, sharing unit cap with Death Hags. His Cultists help his armies tolerate Chaos corruption, as he does not use it.
To use this mod, please unsubscribe from Pleasure Cultist +, Deathbell Lily, Cultist of Brass, and Cult Oracle. All four are already included.
This mod IS compatible with Cultist of Pleasure Reskin; it is in fact required as an asset pack.
Unlike the individual Cultist mods, this collection is NOT compatible with Cultists for Champions of Chaos.
