[GS] Resource Requirements Rebalanced
Mod updated for compatibility with the April 2021 Update
Rebalances the strategic resource requirements of the military units, in order to make the use of said resources as interesting as possible, while making these resources as important as possible between them in a given era, and leaving the player the possibility to defend itself a minimum even if he doesn’t have access to these resources. Requires the Gathering Storm expansion.
To put in simply, Reconnaissance, Melee and Anti-cavalry units do not require any resource. But units from other categories do, except for the Archer, Crossbowman, Galley, Quadrireme and Aircraft carrier, as well as the equivalent unique units.
The resource required to build a Light cavalry, Ranged, or Naval Melee unit, is the same as the one required for its maintenance. The “heavy” versions of these units, namely the Heavy cavalry, Siege, Naval Ranged and Naval Raider units, require the same resources for their maintenance as their “light” equivalents, but require Iron for construction.

Other modifications
– Increased improved strategic resource extraction rate to 6/turn (3/turn for Iron)
– Increased improved strategic resource extraction rate bonuses of the “Equestrian Orders”, “Drill Manuals” and “Resource Management” Policy cards to 2/turn, except for Iron
– Adds a new Military policy card, “Uranium Enrichment”, which increases the extraction rate of each improved Uranium resource by 2/turn, and Iron resource by 1/turn. This Policy card is unlocked by researching the Space Race civic, and make the “Equestrian Orders” policy card obsolete
– Increased Power rate of each Oil Power Plant to 8/turn
This mod is inspired by GabelsAFat’s Mo’ Strategic Resources and Zebrah’s Resource Cost Rework (and are consequently not compatible with this mod).
